H.E White students have been busy!
They are back into the hustle and bustle of the school year, but before Christmas break they got in some major miles in their walk across America challenge. The school as a whole racked up 196 total miles walked. Third grade walked the farthest with 41 miles, beating fourth grade for the first place win for the first time this year. Fourth grade came in second with 38 miles.
With the new walking totals comes new P.E Leaders of the Month. These new leaders are: Kindergarten- Rhilee Fields, 1st Grade- Izzy Pauley, 2nd Grade- Caleb Stanley, 3rd Grade- Trevor Marcum, 4th Grade- Kaiden Gill, and 5th Grade- Ashley Roberts.
Every month, each teacher has the task of choosing an individual student that has stood out to them in the classroom. These kids get to hold the title of student of the month. The winners for December are: Kindergarten- Emma Taylor, 1st Grade- Mason Hall, 2nd Grade- Hannah Gandee, 3rd Grade- Maddy Paxton, 4th Grade- Zander Quellette, and 5th Grade- Ashley Roberts.
Before break H.E. White also participated in the tree decorating contest between each local elementary school, where they took home the first place prize. Winning that contest granted them a pizza party sponsored by Clay County Bank. On January 24 students enjoyed pizza and drinks for their hard work and winning tree design. Congratulations to all the students and keep up the good work!
