Charles VanKirk, 87, of Indore, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on August 9, 2018 at CAMC Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

Born August 1, 1931 in Enoch, he was the son of the late James and Elvra (Ramsey) VanKirk.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Harry, Dallas, and Homer VanKirk; and sister, Gladys Bowers.

Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.  He loved his family with all of his heart.  Charles honorably served his country in Korean War.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Beverly VanKirk; two children, Todd (Lori) VanKirk and Jennifer VanKirk; brother, Spurgeon VanKirk; five grandchildren, Brittni  VanKirk, Jerry Mullins, Corey Mullins, Derek and Mary Wynn whom he adored.  Charles also left behind many other family members who love him dearly.

A graveside service was held Tuesday, August 14, at Sunrise Cemetery, Beechy Ridge, Indore, with Ministers, Berry McCune and Don Dobbins.
