Once again the family of Roy and Vina Sears Bee returned to the Bee Farm on Hallburg Road for their annual family reunion. This takes place every Memorial Day weekend on Sunday. It is a time of sharing old memories and making new ones.
Since the last reunion we lost our Uncle William “Dutch” Bee. He was the baby of the family and will be greatly missed by all. He joined his mother and father and brothers Ralph, Ronzel, Carl and Glen, and sisters Ruby and Pebble who had gone on before him to their heavenly home.
Those in attendance were; James Dolan of Autryville, NC, Shelby Rowles of Indianapolis, IN, Mereena Pritt of Anderson, IN, Ed and Cheryl Pritt of Anderson, IN, Teena and Angie Pritt of Sebring, FL, Travis, EmaLea, Aiden, and Grayson Mckinney of Whitesville, WV, James, Neodshea, Micah and Dakota Alford of Bluefield, WV, Kelly Rae and Garrett Maynor of Whitesville, WV, Howard, Shelia, Jakob, and Lukas Shinn of Elkview, WV, David and Sherry Buckalew, of Charleston, WV, Roscoe Bee of Frametown, WV, Anna Jean Mollohan of Charleston, WV, Aaron and Linda Mollohan of Huntington, WV, Wanda Meyers of Fayetteville, NC, Gary and Louise Maynor of Whitesville, WV.
The oldest in attendance was Anna Jean Mollohan who is 90 years young. She is the daughter of Roy and Vina Bee. The youngest one there was Grayson Wayne McKinney who is 10 months and the son of Travis and EmaLea McKinney.
The highlight of the day was the family gathering for singing of gospel songs at the end of the day. Bob Jackson a family friend also joined in the singing.
Much effort goes into attending this family event. Our prayers are for peace joy love and health for our family in the coming year. God is our source not our last resort as taught to us by our parents and grandparents.
