As a working parent, childcare is at the top of the list of things that you worry about. You want your children to be well taken care, of and have peace of mind that they are in safe and caring hands.
The staff at Kiddie Patch Daycare want to let you know that is exactly what you will get when you enroll your child in their newly remolded facility. The daycare has received $1,500 in grants for new classroom resources and new teacher trainings throughout the year. With these funds they were able to move from a tier I facility to a tier II facility.
Director Stephanie Adkins is a 2014 graduate of Concord University with an RBA and associate degree in early childhood development. She has participated in trainings on various topics such as emergency preparedness, medication administration, child abuse and neglect, autism awareness, WV Early Learning Standards, and safe sleep practices just to name a few.
Stephanie says that working with children is not easy, but believes it is one of the most important jobs that a person can do. It takes a lot of dedication but is incredibly rewarding. Early educators are essentially creating a foundation that children will build upon their entire lives.
The staff at Kiddie Patch Daycare would be honored to educate and care for your children. Each staff member has received training to give your child the most educational experience available. Staff members include Jennifer Jones (morning infant/toddler co-teacher), Susan Osborne (afternoon infant/toddler co-teacher), Hannah Ferrebee (morning preschool lead teacher), and Sarah Adkins (afternoon preschool co-teacher and after school teacher).
Kiddie Patch’s mission is to provide your child with quality care by encouraging them to express themselves through language, art, music, play, and physical activity. With the emphasis on learning through play, they build social skills and self-help skills that increase their self-esteem, which is necessary to succeed in all areas of life.
If you have children aged 6 weeks-12 years and need a reliable day care, check them out at their upcoming open house on Saturday, July 7, from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at the old Valley Fork Elementary. This event is for currently enrolled children and anyone interested in more information about enrollment. Crafts, games, and snacks will be available.
