Never take for granted each day the lord gives us. 2 King’s chapter 4 shows us of a mother who had a promised son overcome by the heat of the day.
Suddenly the son become ill and death came calling. As we look into this account we see the passion of the mother going after the man of god. The story ends with an amazing miracle but it is also a reminder that none of us are far away from sickness or unexpected tragedy or pain to you or your family. May the word of God help us to never take for granted each day the Lord gives. Has it been awhile since you’ve called a friend or someone who is sick encourage you to take a moment and reach out with a call or a card. None of us know if this day may be our last day on earth. Let God’s word men’s the broken family ties and restore those broken relationships. There is nothing worse than to have to say unexpected goodbye to friends and family with regret in our heart? Although we are not exempt from sickness and death, we are encouraged from the word of God that the savior is closer than we can thank or imagine. I realize your heart may be broken and Satan May be filling your mind with lies. Telling you those broken pieces can never be mended. Look in Psalm 34:18 States, the Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart and savers such as be of contrite spirit. No matter how much sickness, sorrow and pain we have to endure the Lord is nigh! Psalm 34:18, living for God is so peaceful knowing that everything is right between you and God. You have peace in your soul, victory over sin and victory over bad habits of life. The old song says, there’s too much to gain to lose! One verse of that song says, if this world were laid at my doorstep, it’s pleasures were all mine to use, I’d have no regret for the way that I have taken, there’s just too much to gain to lose. You cannot live wrong and die right.
