For the 2018 Clay County High School graduates, the last high school event came and went on Saturday.

Clay County High School Class of 2018 is on to the next chapter of their lives. One student is attending the United States Naval Academy, one is on his way to Harvard University, many are going to colleges in state, trade schools, going into different branches of the military, and some are going into the workforce. Each students next chapter will be different. Many scholarships were announced during graduation, with over 1.1 million scholarships in total, and $46,000 of those monies being local donors.

To the Class of 2018, congratulations on your accomplishments and good luck on the next chapter of your life. Never forget your home town and those who helped you along the way. Keep your heads held high and never give up on your dreams.

Co-Valedictorian Ely Osborne
