West Virginia State Police and the State Fire Marshal’s Office are conducting an investigation after a man set his home and business on fire and then fatally shot himself in the Duck area of Clay County.
State police said Lante Wiseman, 73, sat his home on fire, along with his family business, Wiseman Furniture, before fatally shooting himself. Family members have told troopers that Mr. Wiseman had been showing possible signs of Alzheimer’s.
