November 8th, Clay County High School hosted their annual Veterans Day dinner to honor those who served. A delicious dinner was served in the library among red, white and blue décor. Vets were serenaded by the school choir and band. Among the guest speakers were Dr. Mark Manchin, Executive Director of the School Board Authority, Jim Shafer of the Patriot Guard and Mr. Gayle Brown of the VFW. Yearbook pictures were shown of those veterans who attended Clay County High School. The service concluded with a touching candle light presentation by the senior class and Amazing Grace was sang by the choir. It was a great day of remembrance and moved all in attendance.
