I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help. Psalm 121:1.

That Psalmist was saying I will life my eyes to find help. He was stating that in order to find your help you cannot walk around focusing on your problems, pain and persecution the longer you focus on your problems instead of your help Satan will convince you to keep your problems. David says we can receive strength from the climb from the hill. There have been times in my life that I could not make one step more than I received supernatural strength to continue the journey. I have meet people who go through life with a negative attitude wishing they never had a hill to climb.  They want a victory without sacrifice. If life was all cake we would be sweet but we would not be strong. Every one of us will face difficulties in life and we must determine not to give out of give up! No matter how big the hill may seem keep climbing.

I am sure David had a few hills to climb in his life and he realized the hills were a help to him because he received strength to face the test ahead. God always prepares us today for tomorrow. Don’t give out, or give up! Paul said, in 2 Corinthians 12:10, when I am weak then am I strong.  We can get better from the top of the mountain Moses got a better view of the promise land from the top of the mountain. No matter what you face today you can find help from the hills. Jesus preached one of his greatest sermons on a mountain. Matthew 5. Five times he blesses the people. Matthew 5:3-11. Even at times when it seems as though God cannot be found while people are doing unspeakable things to one another we can stand on his promises. He is there! Romans 8:28 says, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God to them who are the called according to his purpose. It doesn’t say some things, or this, or that, but ALL things! Psalm 46 begins and ends with God just as each day and each life does. God is with us. He helps us and comforts us. He will never leave nor forsake you. Hebrews 13:5, Even when the world around you is shaking trust him, he will bring you safely through! He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. You cannot live wrong and die right.
