4-H trip and TSA trip approved at Clay County BOE meeting

Clay County Board of Education met for their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, March 12, 2018 at the Administration Office. A motion to was made and passed the approve the agenda. A motion was made to approve the minutes from the previous meeting, which was approved, along with the payment of the current bills.

A motion to approve the resignation of Michael Shamblin as after school enrichment teacher at H.E. White Elementary School, effective immediately, was approved. A motion to approve the out of county trip for the Clay County High School TSA students/chaperones and the Clay County Middle School TSA students/chaperones to Cedar Lakes Center, Ripley, WV on March 21– March 24, 2018 for the TSA State Leadership Conference was approved. A motion to approve the out of state/overnight trip for Clay County High School FFA and Clay County 4-H to attend National Land Judging Competition in Oklahoma City, OK April 26– May 5, 2018 was approved. A motion to approve the employment of Aaron Williams as a volunteer football coach at Clay County High School for the 2018-2019 school year was approved. A motion to approve awarding of the Broadband Service Agreement with Frontier Communications was approved.

The next Board of Education meeting will be held on Monday, March 26, 2018 at Clay County Middle School.
