GED TESTING, Clay County Board of Education Office, Wednesday, November 20, 2013. GED Testing is FREE to anyone, and is scheduled at the Clay County Schools Board of Education Office in Clay on Wednesday, November 20 beginning at 8:30 a.m. This is a one-day testing session. However, candidates must first pass an OPT Practice Test and obtain a test ticket before taking the official GED test. You may contact the SPOKES/Adult Basic Education instructor at the Valley Fork Center located at Wallback at 304-587-1191 for additional information or to schedule a time to take the Official Practice Test. If you are a partial test completer who has taken the GED test any time since 2002 but has not passed all five parts of the test, you have two more test dates to finish that version of the paper/pencil test. The new GED test comes out in January 2014 and will address common core standards and be computer-based. Call today to learn more and take advantage of this great opportunity!

Sam Samples Cemetery at Procious is still in need of donations as there has been little response after several weeks of advertising. Those of us with relatives and loved ones in the cemetery have a collective responsibility to maintain grounds including mowing and weed eating, tree trimming, etc. There are a faithful few who send donations but this is not sufficient to cover maintenance. Please send donations to Loretta Samples Moore 5008 Pequonia Drive, Elkview, WV 25071 or call 304-965-5704 for more information.
