On Saturday, January 27, the Clay Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched for assistance and traffic control for pedestrians struck by a vehicle. While on the scene, Clay Fire was dispatched for mutual aid with Big Otter Station 30 for a structure fire. Upon arrival of Big Otter Engine 35, they advised we had a well involved fire. Clay Fire assisted with water and man power on the fire scene. Big Otter, Clay, Newton, Gassaway, Frametown, Servia and Clover all responded.
