On October 16, after much anticipation, the Clay Afterschool Program (CAP) began for the school year.

Approximately 200 students participated during the first week of CAP. These students enjoyed opportunities involving art, music, dance, hiking, drama, and fun activities to increase physical fitness. Additionally, these students received support in completing homework and developing math and reading skills. All enjoyed a delicious and nutritious meal, and activity buses were provided for transportation home.

To enroll your child in CAP, contact your school to receive a registration form.  Return the form to your child’s school and help him/her receive individual academic support, as well as enjoy collaborative learning experiences with friends.

Students at H.E. White Elementary enjoy using a parachute as part of a Healthy Choices activity.
Students at Clay Elementary create their own square pumpkin after hearing a story about Spookley the Square Pumpkin.
Students at Clay Elementary create their own stew by adding healthy foods to the pot and stirring.
