The CCHS Lady Panthers hosted both Chapmanville and Fayetteville this past week.
They always like to come to our home turf and attempt to take us down, but it was not to be this week. The Lady Panthers were well prepared for the game and made very few mistakes which, in the game of volleyball, usually determines the fate of a team.
Chapmanville was up first and came out swinging, but with precise blocking, the Lady Panthers put an end to their offense and settled into the task of sending them packing. Fayetteville stepped up to the plate and struck out in two games as the Lady Panthers rolled on. All the Lady Panthers look as though their skills are set, oiled and greased for the up and coming LKC tournament. As of this writing, the stats was not out on the tournament. There are some factors of wins and losses that will determine if the Lady Panthers make it to the LKC tournament. Only the best four teams make it. If they make it to the LKC, the game will be played this Saturday. The Lady Panthers play at Nicholas County on October 26 against Nicholas and Hoover, and sectionals will begin on October 31. If you’re interested in knowing more, call CCHS for the information after Wednesday. Good luck Lady Panthers!
