A motion to confirm probating the last will and testament of Jerry Bird, deceased and the appointment of Nila Geraldine Bird, deceased was approved. A motion to approve the appointment of Loretta Lynn King, Executor DBN of the estate of Henry King, deceased, was approved. A motion to approve the appointment of Sandra Susan Daniels, administratrix of the estate of Samuel Eugene Daniels, deceased, was approved. A motion to approve the request of waiver of final settlement for the estate of Louie Allen Sirk and Leroy Keith Hamrick, deceased, was approved.
A motion to appoint Terri King to the Clay County Parks & Recreation Board for a term expiring August 23, 2020 was approved. A motion to hold a public hearing on September 27, 2017 at 9:45 a.m. to consider the adoption of increasing the County portion of the Excise Tax on the privilege of transferring real estate by 0.55 cents per $500 value, as allowed per Senate Bill 433, was approved. A motion to hire Danyeil Reed as a part-time, as needed, dispatcher for the Clay E911 Communications center at the rate of $10 per hour was approved. Employment will be effective August 23, 2017 pending successful completions of a background check and drug screening.
