The newly formed CCMS Cross Country team had their first race this past weekend.  It was time to break the ice and officially christen them a team. The race was held at Lincoln County High School with teams from throughout the area.

The Mustang team wanted to set a high standard by which all other races from this point on in CCMS history would have to govern themselves. As you would expect from a CCMS team, they set the bar high for the new group. The boys took second place in the event and the girls took third. It was an great beginning for the new team, and they have put their stamp on the track as the ones to beat. They have some really good runners who, with just a little more practice, could have a foot races with deer. This team is on its way to becoming a powerhouse in the cross country world. Congratulations to the CCMS teams for a good start to a great season.
