The 79th annual WV State Chess Championship will be held in Nicholas County for the first time. The event will be held at the Shall We Dance Ballroom in Mount Nebo on Sept. 9-10, starting at 9 a.m. Players will compete for the title of WV State Champion and up to $1,450 in prizes.
The event is open to all members of the US Chess Federation and WV Chess Association (memberships available onsite).
