As of press time, WCHS Channel 8 News was reporting that officials at Clay County Middle School were investigating the alleged presence of a hidden camera in the girls’ locker room.

Superintendent Joe Paxton had not yet confirmed the presence of a hidden camera, but he told the news station that an investigation was occurring.

Paxton said school officials were working with law enforcement. He called it a “student-related incident,” the TV station said.

WCHS also reported that the Clay County sheriff could not comment on the investigation because it was a “juvenile-related matter.”
