Lexi Woodyard has meant a lot to the CCHS Volleyball team during her four year career at CCHS.

Lexi is now a senior, with her Lady Panther years behind her, and has signed her letter of intent to play volleyball with the Lady Golden Eagles at the Division II University of Charleston.  There, she will take her extreme volleyball skills to the next level.  Lexi has shown that she is the epitome of hard work and dedication to her sport on and off the court.  She has killed, dug, blocked and served  for the volleyball fans of this county for a long time and will be remembered in the halls of CCHS.

Clay County High School has been fortunate to have Lexi Woodyard, as a student that has had a desire to succeed and a work ethic to go along with it.  She disciplined herself to fortify her principles and her passion for volleyball.  She now has the opportunity to take her game to new ground and make a difference on another team.

The Lady Golden Eagles will definitely be getting a star to play on their court.  Her career at CCHS as a Lady Panther was nothing short of epic.  She had 1,335 kills, 321 aces, 447 blocks, 591 digs, and over 1,400 serve/receive recorded.   In her career, she was the 2013 CCHS Volleyball Freshman of the Year,  2014 LKC and class AA All State Special Honorable Mention,  CCHS Volleyball Impact Player of the Year and member of the AA state runner-up team.   In 2015 she was LKC First Team, Class AA All-State Second Team and CCHS Volleyball Impact Player of the Year.  In 2016 she was finally recognized as she should have been when she was named to the LKC and Class AA All-State First Team.

Even with all these successes, she was every bit a team player and loved the fans and her family.  She is truly a class act; she made volleyball fun to watch and kept you on the edge of your seat with her amazing abilities on the courts.  She will be missed and her shoes will be a tough pair to fill.  Lexi is the daughter of Tim and April Woodyard and sister to CCHS baseball great Jarrod Woodyard of Procious.
