Lizemores — Paul Edward “Lobo“ Moore, 79, of Lizemores, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, January 14, 2017.

Born October 4, 1937, he was the son of the late Leonard and Opal (Reedy) Moore. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Roger Glen, Phillip Noel and Lakin Luther Moore.

He was a Air Force veteran serving our country for six years.

Paul was a certified underground electrician, foreman and shot fireman in the coal industry.  He worked at Harewood, Longacre, WV, and also Union Carbide Corporation, Sanderson Division, where he was a member of the Mine Safety and Rescue Team; he retired from Clay Trucking, Summersville.

He was a Christian man and spent many hours reading God’s word. His God and his family were the most important ones in his life. His giving heart and gentle presence will be so very sadly missed, but his quick wit and sense of humor will be missed by all that knew him far and wide.

Paul is survived by his wife of 44 years, Dorma Jean Walker Moore, of Lizemores; son, Ronnie Paul Moore of Lizemores; step-son Arthur Glen (Mitzi) Sizemore of Hurricane; daughter, Julie Christine Hudson of Lizemores; five grandchildren, Joshua Sizemore, Angela Sizemore, Eden Taylor, Shayna Brown and Jena Hudson; they loved their papaw more than words can express; and also five great-grandchildren will treasure his memory forever; sisters Lenore Kay Curtis of Akron, OH, and Julia Suzanne (Danny) of Costner, NC; and a host of very special nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at Pennington Funeral Home Gauley Bridge, with Rev. Larry Gawthrop and John Humphrey officiating. Burial was in Stone Cemetery, Lizemores.

Friends gathered with family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family wishes to thank the Hubbard Hospice Staff for their care and kindness during our time of need, and a very special thank you to Michelle Ramsey.

On-line condolences may be sent to the family at www.carlwilsonfuneralhome.com

Pennington Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Moore family.
