Eph 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
From the signs we see all around us surely the coming of Jesus Christ to take His Church home must be very close. This generation is the only generation that is confronted with so many signs as set forth in the Word of God. I suppose every generation has seen some sign and thought the Lord was about to descend. But our generation hasn’t been given a sign but many signs. All over the world things are happening that tell us He is coming soon.
The question we must ask is “who is He coming for?” What denomination might be the chosen one? None of the above. It is not an assembly of some particular theology crafted by man. It is not an exclusive social, religious body. It is the body of Christ.
Ephesians 5:27 tells us much. Jesus is coming after His bride. She is righteous, holy and washed in the blood of Jesus. She is walking in the light of the Word of God and is filled with love and joy. She is living by faith and is quick to forgive when offended. She is quick to repent when she has missed it. She is walking in the light of the Word of God and does not conform to the ways of the world. The Word of God has changed her from the inside out. It is called being sanctified. She knows that her life is designed by God to give Him glory and therefore she knows that it is in, through and by the Holy Spirit that she is enabled to be what God has called her to be. You may find her in any church, under the name of any particular denomination but there is just something about her that makes her different. She is the temple of God which is inhabited by the Spirit of God.
Ephesians 5:27 says she is glorious and without spot, wrinkle, blemish or any such thing. Who can qualify? None of us by ourselves. It is through the blood of Jesus, by faith and the Holy Ghost. The Church is totally dependent on Jesus and what He did at Calvary. Anyone can become part of the body of Christ but they cannot by their deeds, accomplishments or good intentions. It is through Jesus. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6. If Jesus lives in your heart, rejoice and watch. He is coming and He knows those who are His. Jesus loves you.
