Moore’s Marinades and Sauces (Moore’s) is partnering with Operation BBQ Relief to raise much needed funds for Operation BBQ Relief’s operations and to help inform communities across the nation of the impact it has on the lives of those affected by disasters.
In an effort to support the positive work of Operation BBQ Relief, Moore’s has pledged to donate 10 cents for every bottle of marinade or sauce purchased (up to $10,000) this summer season.
“We are honored to partner with such a reputable and impactful organization that provides substantial relief to communities affected by disasters across the nation,” said Garland Reich, brand manager at Moore’s. “We encourage people to volunteer their time or provide donations to support this great organization.”
To date, Operation BBQ Relief has provided 734,355 meals to 19 states across the country. The organization’s funding is raised through fundraisers, online merchandise sales and donations. Volunteers consist of barbecue competitors, barbecue enthusiasts, and people who want to help others, either year-round or during deployments.
“Recently, we deployed in West Virginia and provided 30,657 meals in eight days to those affected by the flood,” said David Marks, chief operating officer at Operation BBQ Relief. “Our success is due to our selfless volunteers and supporters, and we hope to inspire people across the nation to join us by volunteering or donating to Operation BBQ Relief, ensuring our continued efforts to areas in need.”
Operation BBQ Relief was founded in 2011 and is comprised of a Disaster Response Team of over 3,500 volunteers and competition BBQ teams. Operation BBQ Relief is able to quickly mobilize its deployment teams to any area across the country to provide hot BBQ meals, compassion, hope and friendship to those whose lives have been affected by disasters.
