1st Annual Coach Ron Sirk Classic to be held June 21st

The Clay County High School football team in conjunction with the CCHS Athletic Boosters will be holding the 1st Annual Coach Ron Sirk Classic 7 on 7 and Lineman Challenge on Tuesday, June 21st beginning at 3:00pm.  This event will allow Panther fans to get a taste of the upcoming football season.  Players will be participating in passing skills and pass defense in the 7 on 7 event.  Lineman will be testing their strength and agility in the challenge.  There will be 10 high schools from the surrounding area playing two games on either side of the 50 yard line at the same time.  The event will begin at 3:00 pm with the championship game scheduled to begin at 9:00 pm.  The lineman challenge will take place primarily in the end zone area and softball areas of Bradley Field.  Concessions will also be sold.  Please come out and support the Panthers as they begin preparation for the upcoming season.  The event is named for legendary Clay County High School Coach Ron Sirk.  Special admission charges of only $2 for adults and $1 for school age kids will apply.  Area schools participating are as follows:  Clay County, Herbert Hoover, Valley-Fayette, Midland Trail, Summers County, Liberty-Raleigh, Braxton County, Nitro High School, Poca High, and Roane County High School.
