[img attachment=”10330″ align=”alignleft” size=”full” alt=”Cooper Osborne signs with full family support.” caption=”Cooper Osborne signs with full family support.” /]It has been said that youth is an opportunity to do something and become somebody, that one’s success is measured by talent, opportunity, concentration, and perseverance.  Cooper Osborne, a senior at Clay County High School, has embodied those principles throughout his life and his baseball career.  Cooper, who was recently awarded the well earned title of LKC Player of the Year, signed his letter of intent to play baseball at Glenville State College.  Family, teachers, fellow ball players and friends came to the ceremony to salute the higher calling of one of CCHS’s best ball players to a higher learning and a bigger home plate to cover in college sports.  Cooper was also picked to play in the North South game held at the UC field in Charleston on June 19th at 12PM.  Many who came had words of encouragement and gave their final pat on the back before the signing.  Glenville State College has recruited one of our best.  Cooper Osborne, we in Clay County have ridden the bus for years now and it’s time for us to get off. We will watch from afar and wish you only the best.
