[img attachment=”10267″ align=”aligncenter” size=”full” alt=”Buffalo Creek Watershed Association with Department of Enviromental Protection Cabinet Secretary Award” caption=”Buffalo Creek Watershed Association with Department of Enviromental Protection Cabinet Secretary Award” /]Buffalo Creek Watershed Improvement Association was awarded the Department of Enviromental Protection Cabinet Secretary Award at the 2016 Environmental Awards Ceremony, which honors the initiatives of organizations and individuals from across West Virginia. Awards were presented to 19 organizations during a special ceremony at the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection (WVDEP) headquarters in Charleston.
The 19 organizations, which come from 14 counties, were honored in categories ranging from Clean Energy and Water Conservation to Land Revitalization and Sewage Treatment.
“These award recipients are dedicated to promoting a healthy environment in West Virginia,” said Randy C. Huffman, WVDEP cabinet secretary. “Making sure West Virginia stays ‘Wild and Wonderful’ is a job that involves every citizen of this state, and I congratulate all of these recipients for dedicating their time to do their part.”
