After serving in the Army during the Korean War, Andrew worked in Ohio then moved back to his beloved home State of West Virginia. He retired from Pennzoil Gas Company after 30 years of service. He enjoyed the great outdoors such as hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, camping, gensenging, ramp digging, foraging morels and gardening. He could always find a 4-leaf clover on his outdoor adventures. He was a fierce competitor throughout his life, playing croquet, horseshoes, softball, badminton, but most important Rook. These activities with family and friends kept his and Maysel’s home full of love and laughter that bonded the Carr clan. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather. No one left his home without freely feeling welcome and recognized. He loved the Lord and showed Christian like characteristics to all with acceptance and grace.

He is survived by daughters, JoAnn Gould (Jay) of Montgomery, West Virginia, Delores Dangerfield (Clyde) of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina and son, Michael Carr (Kathleen) of Mink Shoals, West Virginia. Ten grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
