Stand up to Life by realizing who you are and whose you are. You are a child of the most high God. John 1:12 says, But as man as received him to them gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.

Some people are hypocrites and lie. It is a wonder that God does not strike them dead for coming to the house of God and lying. You can read about that happening in the New Testament, Acts 5:1-11 to Ananias and Sapphira. First Corinthians 13:6 says, Rejoiceth not in iniquity but Rejoiceth in the truth. We are to appear before the judgment seat of Christ without disguises. It is difficult to read this without recalling our Lord’s warning against hypocrisy. How few of us are really what we seem to be or what people take us to be? There is so much pretense in the world and church. Stripped of our pretenses down here how would we appear in the sight of our friends? Are we as holy as people take us to be? If people knew us as we really are would we be occupying the pulpit, holding an office of prominence in the church or be known as  a Christian?

Jesus hated hypocrisy. He never practiced it himself. Religious professors who were simply posing and who desired to have a reputation for sanctity while not possessing holiness. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ. The word means to be manifest as we really are. The idea is that the child of God is in disguise during his pilgrimage in this world. The world does not really know him appreciate him nor recognize him at his true value or status. He is reality royalty he is the child of a King someday all that will be revealed at the revealing of the sons of God. These words should cause much self-examination of the followers of Christ. Don’t get accustomed to the darkness. Let your light be in a dark world.
