There will be a Christmas Play at Trinity Missionary Baptist in Maysel on December 2 at 7:00pm and on December 3 at 6:00pm.


35th Annual Arts and Crafts Show will be on Friday December 1, 2017, from 6:30pm – 9:30pm, and on Saturday, December 2, 2017, from 9:00am – 3:00pm at the Nicholas County High School in Summersville. There will be over 100 booths, with admission by donation and door prizes hourly with a Grand Price of $100.00. There drawing will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, you must be present to win the Grand Prize.


The Clay County Children’s Christmas Party will be held at the Clay Lions Building on Saturday, December 2, at 11:30 a.m. Santa Claus will be there, and there will be other entertainment and treats. The meeting schedule for CAEZ board meetings in 2017 is as follows: Tuesday, Dec. 5. Meetings will be held in the Clay County Courthouse Commission Room. The Economic Development Committee meets at 4 p.m. and board of directors meets at 6 p.m.

The Clay County WIC office located at 452 Main Street in Clay is open to serve the public every Monday and Wednesday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.All Central WV WIC offices will be closed December 25 for Christmas.
