Free Arts and Crafts Booths at Elk River Fest The BDA Tourism committee has been working hard to secure sponsors so we can offer our local artisans and craftsmen free booths at the Elk River Fest. We are so happy to be able to invite all Clay Countians to take advantage of this opportunity. If you would like a booth at the Fest, simply fill out a booth application form and send it to CCBDA, Box 57, Clay, WV 25043. Booth application forms can be found on elkriverfest.com or call 304-587-2949. Remember that all items do need to be homemade/grown.
Artisans, prepare now for the Elk River Fest Artisans and crafters of all trades, prepare now to market your items at the Elk River Fest in June. Whether your specialty is crafts, quilts, pottery, paintings, sculptures, furniture, jams, jellies or other trade, now is the time to work on your inventory so you will have a good supply on hand come June. Second Annual ATV Ride, Clay County Veteran’s Memorial, June 7, 2014. $10 per rider. Will be held at the old Chicop0ee Plant, Pack Fork Road, Lizemores, WV. Registration from 10 am – 12 pm. Pig Roast, Prizes, Raffles, T-shirts for sale. All [proceeds will go to the Clay County Veteran’s Memorial Fund, to aid in establishing a new memorial site for our county’s veterans. If you are a foreign combat veteran interested in helping make the community we live in a better place, then the VFW is the organization that you are looking for. The VFW is now in need of the younger generation of combat veterans to start taking the reins of the organization. It is a very rewarding brother/sister hood if you are willing to put some time into some of the projects the post is involved in. We look forward to seeing you at the post hall.
