SALT & SONSHINE – April 12th, 2017

Wow! What a God. What a Savior. What love.

God sent His Son Jesus to this world that mankind could be restored to the status of Adam before the fall in the Garden of Eden. Since that time man has gotten worse and worse as time progressed. The Bible tells us that in the last days men would wax worse and worse and surely we can see in the days in which we live. Ten or twenty years ago, I never thought I would see such evil, hate and rebellion. The devil is doing all he can to make sure that man spends eternity in hell. That’s exactly how it would be if it were not for the love of God.

Joh 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

God’s love is pure and it is holy. It is bigger than the sin and evil of mankind. By His grace which came by Jesus Christ even the vilest person can be forgiven of his sin and become a child of God. The price has already been paid at Calvary by Jesus. The sacrifice of Jesus’ blood has already been received in Heaven for the forgiveness of sin. All that remains is for each one to accept what has been accomplished through faith in Jesus.

Our works would never have been good enough. Salvation is priceless and no amount of labor, kindness, or doing good could ever measure up to what God has freely offered. Jesus said in  Joh 14:6 “ I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus is the high priest of our confession. Jesus took His own blood to Heaven and presented it to the Father as full payment for our sins. Judgment was satisfied. To all who ask Jesus to come into their heart, the blood of Jesus cleanses from sin.We stand forgiven.

When our faith reaches out, grace responds and we become new creatures in Christ Jesus. A new life has begun. Your name is written in Heaven and when this life is finished, you will be received there. It is the will of God. Seek Him, love Him and do your best to honor Him with your life. God loves YOU!

Maranatha!
